Bebo to celebrate Birthday with Saif

Kareena Kapoor has planned to celebrate her Birthday far away in Latvia in Eastern Europe.
On September 21, which is Tuesday next week, Kareena turns 30. But she will be busy shooting for boyfriend Saif Ali Khan’s home production Agent Vinod in Latvia. Saif will indeed hope to make the day special for Bebo.
Kareena will be away from Mumbai for a month long shoot. Her role in Agent Vinod is very demanding and requires her to do risky stunts. A bit of birthday celebration in between hectic shoots will no doubt lighten her up.
We hear Saif plans to fly Bebo’s mom Babita to Latvia on September 21.
Well, Hope Bebo enjoys her Birthday..

We Are Family

Siddharth Malhorta's upcoming venture titled We Are Family, produced by Dharma Production barely needs an introduction. From the very conception of this project it's been making the news, much like all Karan Johar productions. The Kajol, Kareena and Arjun Rampal starrer that is an official remake of Hollywood flick Stepmom is finally about to reach D-Day but before it does so, custom of Indian cinema dictates that the music should be released and naturally prove to be the biggest form of promotion for the film. Once again Shankar Ehsaan And Loy come forward on behalf of the production house to deliver the album that will contribute greatly to the hype of the film. So does the music of this remake prove to be a positive form of promotion or will it be a turn off for all those planning to see the film? Read on to find out.

Perhaps the best call by the trio was to start the album off with a track featuring two of the most talented and loved singers of the country in current times, namely, the man with a magical voice, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and the woman who needs no introduction what so ever, Shreya Ghosal. Aiding them also in the track is Shankar Mahadevan. Aakhon Mein Neendein is a beautifully constructed feel-good number that stands out purely because of the lead singers. Irshad Kamil renders the lyrics that are nothing 'out of this world' but merely add to the feel of the number. It's essentially a very 'Bollywood' number with a balance created between Desi instruments like subtle dholaks and western instruments, a common combination in Bollywood music. The rendering of the standard octave in Indian Classical music throughout the track proves to be a highlight.

The classic rock and roll number 'Jailhouse Rock' is recreated with Dil Khol Ke Let's Rock. Lovers of the original may find it hard to get used to the Desified version of this track. However, what is commendable is the selection of singers for the number namely, Anushka Manchanda and Suraj Jagan who were essentially born to sing this number! The one that sticks out like a sore thumb is Akriti Kakkar who just doesn't fit into the genre of the song. While the composition is impressive throughout, SEL bring in a desified touch to it at one portion that reminds you much of their track from Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, 'Rock n Roll Soniye'. The song is already a remake so the fact that parts of the track cause a déjà vu of previous SEL numbers doesn't really say much for the composers. Tip for the trio; please make recreations of portions from previous tracks not as obvious!

Thankfully the trio pick up the slack with the next one, Reham O Karam, sung by two singers who're poles apart when it comes to their vocal styles, Vishal Dadlani and Shankar Mahadevan. This one is heart touching rock number with beautiful lyrics courtesy of Irshad Kamil. It's essentially a heartbreak track where one is begging for a bit of mercy, a bit of luck for things to change. The two singers shine beautifully in this number and a great feel is created when both voices are combined. Filled with emotions this one is for those who like their songs to be somewhat 'deep'. Lets hope the emotions by Vishal and Shankar are done justice to onscreen.

Sonu Nigam comes in next to remind us just how amazing he is! And boy did he remind us or what! Hamesha and Forever is a melodious track boasting of a uplifting chorus, flute (courtesy of Naveen), acoustics and feel-creating strings. The sweetness and softness of the track goes up a notch with Shreya Ghosal's entrance. This one is a track you simply can't explain in words but one which you'll need to simply listen to for yourself and understand its beauty. Last but not the least, kudos to Irshad Kamil for the beautiful lyrics.

Bela Shande ('Kangana Re' - Paheli) enters next with a slow, melodious and classical number Sun Ie Dua Yeh Aasmaan. Yet another emotionally packed number on the album courtesy of the beautiful lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The flute by Naveen proves to truly create the feel of the entire number. One looks forward to being teary when this one comes onscreen.

The album ends with an impressive instrumental We Are Family Theme. Naveen takes to the flute again whilst Dominique Cerajo, Clinton Cerejao, Neuman Pinto and Vivienne Pocha take to the mic to give a soft and melodious chorus to the track. Without any lyrics this one truly speaks to you. The piano and flute give it a sweet and soft feel and then the strings enter to bring in the intensity, in particular the bass strings which seems to always have its own language.

Shankar Ehsaan and Loy churn out an album that hasn't got all the classic commercial elements, but rather is emotionally packed with every note in the songs. Baring 'Dil Khol Ke Let's Rock', every other track impresses immensely. Since it's an emotionally packed album the true potential of it will be realised onscreen and one hopes the performers onscreen don't let down the brilliant music given to them. Take a bow SEL for another job well done!

The New Busy Bee-Kareena

Kareena-Kapoor
Lolo is very busy these days with her back to back shooting schedules, it has become impossible for her to take time out for her sister Karisma’s birthday. In fact, she has become so busy that Kareena’s mother is packing her bags for her further schedules. When asked Kareena about this she said, “I am shooting in Hyderabad till June 23. I land in Mumbai at 9 pm and from the domestic airport, go to international terminal. I board a flight to Marrakech, Morocco for Saif’s Agent Vinod in a couple of hours after that. It has been so hectic that I won’t have time to go home and pack my stuff. In fact, I have asked to pack all my stuff and meet me at the airport.” Kareena is very sad that she will not be there for Karisma’s birthday. “I have asked Lolo and Samaira to come to the airport for half an hour so we can sit and chat in the car. I don’t know if Samiara can come so late at night but I would love to have her come. I am feeling terrible that I won’t see her for more than a month,” added Bebo. Kareena is very busy till the year end. She said, “I have three films to complete Golmaal 3, Ra.One and Agent Vinod. Then Madhur’s film will start in December. Then I am endorsing 11 brands and have performed at every award show this year. In September and October, I get busy with the promotion of Golmaal 3 and Karan’s Stepmom. I have requested Sharukh to keep a schedule of Ra.One in Mumbai so I can be there for promoting and he has agreed.” Lately there has been a buzz that Kareena is signed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next project Heera Mandi. Looks like Lola has her hands full!

Kareena not ready to take anything small

http://www.hotbollywoodactressphotos.com/Images/kareena3.jpg

Kareena Kapoor is one actress, who lives life king-size and wouldn't settle for anything small. Though many popular actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and others have tried their hands on the small screens, Kareena has turned down a television offer.

It is said that the bold and beautiful actress was offered a television show based on her - titled Main Kareena Kapoor Banna Chahti Hoon for a whopping amount but she turned it down with the excuse that she would rather concentrate on her film career than try her hands on something small. She said that getting into television is an exciting option but would concentrate on one thing.

With promising films like Ra.1 with Shahrukh Khan, Golmaal 3 and Agent Vinod on hand, Kareena certainly has no time for television.
